Lockdown 2020: IFC Contact Details and Advice

We would like to take this time to say thank you to all our members for their on-going support.

South Africa is currently on a lockdown. IFC is still operating but, for their safety, our staff members are working remotely during this time. Please see contact details below.

Don’t cancel medical aid during the pandemic!

We understand this is a difficult period for businesses and individuals financially.

However, we strongly advise members NOT to cancel their medical scheme cover during this time.

Avoid landing up in a government hospital, where hygiene will not be as controlled as in a private hospital or facility.

It’s also very important to know that if you cancel your current membership and reapply at a later stage, the medical scheme you join will be allowed to impose waiting periods, exclusions and late joiner penalties.

Please stay safe

Please follow all possible precautions for keeping you and your family safe during this time. Above all, stay home if you can.

Official coronavirus updates, safety precautions and the SA hotline number are available here: https://www.gov.za/NovelCoronavirus

IFC’s operating hours

IFC has taken the necessary precautions in order to maintain service levels.

We will be available during office hours (Monday to Thursday, 8 am to 5 pm, and Fridays, 8 am to 4 pm) via email, with limited access to calls.
