Zestlife Gap Cover

Zestlife gap cover is designed to cover shortfalls between what healthcare providers charge and what medical aid schemes cover, for in-hospital and some out-of-hospital treatments. It's available to individuals and families currently on any South African medical aid.

Zestlife was established in 2008, and has an experienced management team at its helm. Its gap cover policies are underwritten by the Guardrisk Insurance Company, a registered and authorised financial services provider (FSP number 75).

  • Zestlife - Essential Gap Cover

    Zestlife's Essential Gap Cover is ideal if you're looking for affordable gap cover.

    It provides in-hospital medical expense shortfall cover; copayment cover; gap cover for specific out-of-hospital procedures; emergency room/casualty ward cover; and a range of health insurance benefits.

  • Zestlife - Universal Gap Cover

    Zestlife's Universal Gap Cover option provides comprehensive gap cover. It includes a more generous range of benefits than the Essential option, for only a small difference in premium.

    Along with medical expense shortfall cover for in-hospital expenses, it includes gap cover for specific out-of-hospital procedures; emergency room/casualty ward cover; and a range of health insurance benefits.

    Among other benefits, it also includes non-network copayment cover, enhanced cancer cover and shortfall cover for in-hospital dentristy.

Zestlife extended gap cover for cancer, dentistry and medical aid premiums

Zestlife gives the option of enhancing your gap cover with:

  • Zestlife Extended Cancer Cover – pays out a lump sum on first-time diagnosis of cancer of the policyholder or their medical scheme dependants
  • Zestlife Extended Dentistry Cover – offers optional lump sum cover for emergency, accidental and specialised dentistry
  • Medical Premium Waiver Cover – provides cover that will continue to pay your medical aid and Zestlife premiums in the event of your death or permanent disability.
